A recent New York Times article details a number of cuts across the country, many of which have been covered by UltimateSportsInsider.com. Additional information in the article includes: Stanford's plans to cut $3 million in 2010 and $4.5 million in 2011, the Ohio Valley Conference eliminating media days and media guides and Lehigh University bringing their fall athletes back to campus only a few days before dormitories officially open instead of a full week to save on room and board costs.
